Where to WoofDrive

Where to WoofdriveWhere to do it!!!!
These are places where I and others have been with their dogs to help you get motivated to think out of the box. This list will be constantly expanding. Please drop us a line if you would like to suggest some trails, we would love to hear from you!!

Below are links to my Blog on The WooFDriver Project Website. These links are write-ups on Trails with special attention to Dog and human appeal!

Your Neighborhood

If you live on a quiet street, your neighborhood is a good place to start.  You don’t need to transport your dogs or gear anywhere.  You can make the outings as long or short as your dogs want.  And, your dogs are already familiar with the surroundings from walks, so they are more comfortable and less distracted.

In the City

Once you have trained you dogs a little, and have some control, you can bring them out in your city!

In the Snow!

Dogs love the snow!  They can work it out hard and not over heat.  And you don’t need a sled!

Beach

Who says the beach is only for people?  Or only for a warm sunny summer day?  You dogs love water.  Your dogs like cool weather so they can run and not over heat.  So…. find a dog friendly beach, and take a winter weekend trip!  These pictures were taken at Assateague Island National Seashore. We had a blast!!!

Rail Trail

Rail Trails are perfect for long treks with your dogs.  They tend to be flat and straight with few hills.  Most allow bikes and dogs.  There are multiple access points for drop off and pick up points if you’d like to make a long trek without doubling back.  Aside from the net, check out a book store to find ones near you.

Nature Preserves

Nature Preserves often have little low traffic roads that are perfect for interactive dog activities. What cars you may see are attuned to watching out for pedestrians and bikes.

National Parks

Most National Parks have bike trails and allow dogs. They offer gorgeous scenery and wide open spaces!  Pick a park near you that has relatively flat trails to make it fun and easy for you to bike and your dog to pull.  Or find a mountainous trail and take them hiking hands free.

Think outside the box

Anyplace you can get a bike and dogs is fair game.  The WooFDriver team has gotten really creative in choosing places to WooFDrive!

We took the WooFPark for a tour of Washington DC at night.   The National Mall is open 24 hours.  Allows bikes and allows dogs.  And at night, there are less people and less traffic. Perfect for a night outting!

A horse racing track is a perfect place to train your dogs!  Flat, open, and contained.

Parades and festivals can be fun for you, your dogs and attendees. There are many dog oriented events that would love to have you participate like BARCtoberfest pictured here in Baltimore Md.

Panorama Views Inspired By Our Dogs!!

These panorama pictures show areas where people with their Dogs have explored and had some FUN!! Throughout this site I am promoting how these interactive Dog Activities will lead us to get outside with our Best Friends and exercise, get healthy, give our dogs what they need, and enjoy Life. These pictures will hopefully capture those incredible moments and let us share the beauty and excitement. Even the same view at different times of year is so cool. Currently the iPhone 5 and other cameras offer the capabilities to capture Panorama photos. These are so cool! Please capture your awesome time with your pups and share it here. Post to our Facebook Page and/or email us the photo with a title and your Dog(s) name and we will share it. Your Photo does not need to include your Dog.
